Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog. I have never had it so it is a new experience for me. Therefore, I hope we will communicate with each other and exchange the important information, share our interests and tell stories about our life.
Due to my first blog, I'd like to introduce myself.
I was born in Kansk, Kranoyarskiy krai. Kansk is the little, cold Syberian town with population of about 100,000. It hasn't many industries and it is impossible to get a good degree there so I always knew that I would go studying to the big city.
In Kansk I studied in gymnasium 11 forms.
During the studying I really liked to partcipate in intellectual competitions so I decided to go to the university up to it.
I've done it so now I'm in Moscow.
Living in Moscow is the challenge because I've never been there before. Somehow, I hope everything will be OK. In the university I'm finding new friends and getting many useful knowledge as I always hoped! NES and HSE support many opportunities and open perspectives for future. I'm very glad to study here.
In my free time, I like reading, jogging, attend a gym, dancing, throwing knifes and shooting. I think everyone should have different kinds of activities except studying, A rolling stones gathers no moss!
Especially I'd like to tell what I hope to learn in English class. In my town I didn't have good opportunities to study except attending English school in 11 form so I believe to improve my speaking and writing skills as much as I can. I think it is really because I have the native speaker teacher David Atterberry and classmates who have the advanced level of English.
I wish you respond to my blog any time!
What a great first post, Roman!
ОтветитьУдалитьI was curious about where your hometown is, so I looked it up on Google Maps. You are really a long way from home here! Google brought up some photos of places near Kansk, so I looked at them. They were quite beautiful. I saw some rock formations near a river. Does that sound right?
Your hobbies sounded a lot like mine until I saw throwing knives! I'm not sure that I've known anyone who threw knives before. Is it dangerous?
You'll definitely get plenty of opportunities to use English this semester!
I'm glad to read you comment, David. Thank you!
УдалитьI think the rock formations you saw are the place for mountain-skiers.
Have you ever heard about "Kannes film vidofestival"? If so, you'll be surprised if you know that my town has videofistival called "International Kansk Video Festival" too. As you can guess, it come here because of name of my town. There are too many directors from different countries who presented their films to auidence like in a real videofest in France. It is imporant event for Russia and all people of my town! It's worth to see.
I think the throwing knives is not so danderous as you imagine. If you are accurate with knife, there is no risk for you. In addition to this you have fun when your knife on target. Let's try it! This is not difficult!
I look forward to your reply!
